Well done to the Red Team who won the KS2 event as well as the KS1 event. This is a turn around from last year when the Blue Team won both events.

OLYMPIC TORCH

Our congratulations go to Miss Hutchinson for being chosen to be a torch bearer.

We all enjoyed watching her carry the torch through Beverley.

Our thanks go to the Wray Trust who paid for the coaches so that we could all go to support Miss Hutchinson, to the volunteer helpers who came with us, to the children for being so well behaved and to Mrs Westcott for organising it all.

LEVEN WI VISIT LEVEN SCHOOL

Our thanks go to the Leven WI who visited us yesterday to present the gardening club with a cheque for £400 to help us develop our orchard. We are going to be buying local varieties of fruit trees, such as the Hornsea Herring and then plan to open up the orchard when Leven has its open gardens day.

The newspaper article is from the Hull Daily Mail (13/6/12)

HARALD HAUGAARD TRIO

After the concert Harald ran a workshop for our violin group. Have a listen to the results. At the end of the workshop the children got to play with the whole band.
