Rock 'n Roll!

(viewed 348 times)
Today we had a visiting musician - Kyden Woodhead, a 14 year old drummer
from Bridlington. In the morning he worked with small groups of children
from Year 2 giving them a drumming demonstration and then letting them have
a go! In the afternoon he did the same with groups of children from Year
3/4. Then he gave demonstrations to Year 4/5 and Foundation and Year 1!
Kyden enjoyed it and so did the children You never know it might have
inspired some of the children to take up drums for our new orchestra - so
parents you may you have to start looking into garage insulation!

Year 2 love to be beside the seaside!

Year 2 went on their class trip today and had a great time! We started
off at the Beside The Seaside museum in Bridlington to see how seaside
holidays have changed over the years. Then we spent some time on the south
beach making sand sculptures and eating ice-creams! Finally we visited the
RNLI lifeboat and learnt about water safety. The weather was very kind and
a good time was had by all The children were very well behaved and we
even had a compliment from a member of the public! Huge thanks go to Mrs
Towne, Mrs Ellis, Mrs Jackson and Mrs Hardy for making the day run so
smoothly! I'm sure the children - and adults - will sleep well tonight.
