After a recent visit to the church Foundation Stage decided that they would like to change the role play area into a church.
After we had helped build it Revd Dixon came and opened it.
As you can see we love playing in it. We have weddings and christenings, but weddings are our favourite.

Tom Walker came in today to demonstrate our new drum kit. We hope to start an orchestra in the Autumn term and we are hoping that we will have some volunteers for learning to play the drums.

We had a great Summer fair this year. Finally we had a Summer fair with sunshine and no rain!
My thanks go to the PTFA for doing a great job of organising it and running it. To all of the staff who turned up to help, to the Bells for bringing their steam lorry, to the police for spending the whole afternoon with us and to the dancers and majorettes for providing entertainment.

David Butterfield, the Archdeacon for the East Riding of Yorkshire, visited school today and led our worship. He told us the parable of the lost sheep and taught us a new song.
After worship he came on a tour of the school.
Our thanks go to the Revd Dixon for arranging this visit.

Last Thursday the children recorded their 'Leven School Sings A Rainbow' cd!
I was really proud of all the children who proved to be very professional
(much more so than the staff!) in their performances. We have received a
sample cd in school and I think it sounds great! I'm sure all the parents
and friends will love it so don't forget to order your copy! All the
children took part at least twice, with the children singing in classes, key
stages and performing in the various musical groups, eg. choir, violins,
flutes, guitar and clarinet! Thanks to Morgan and Gabrielle for being brave
enough to perform on their own! So, well done to all the children - I
really do think that Leven does have talent.
