can't sleep, bake. Hence 1Kg of 60/40 white/spelt bread. I rather like spelt, it has a lovely nutty taste, but there are still a good number of other flours I haven't tried out yet.

I are mad bread skillz innit.

1.6 Exabyte iPod

(viewed 1436 times)
that's 1.6 billion gigabytes. Not bad, considering it doesn't even have a colour screen.

And it only has 8GB free. It appears I have more mp3s than God.

(it should be noted that I nearly paperweighted my ipod over the weekend - OK, I was trying to install linux on it, but that was after it had broken. neither ipodlinux nor rockbox worked, and I had to perform a number of complete format/restores to get it to boot again)

puppy hunt

(viewed 7371 times)
so, anyone know of any japanese spitz puppies for sale? anyone got any reasons why I shouldn't get a japanese spitz?

My criteria for a dog are: high intelligence; doggy-ness*; small enough that on days when my rsi is really bad, it won't suffer from only getting a short walk; friendly and fun; easy to train; not stronger than me (which doesn't take much - even a labrador could hurt me these days). If I didn't have a load of things I need satisfying 'cos if my physical condition, I'd have huskies or malamutes or samoyeds or akitas or something like that. I like nordic dogs, can you tell? :)

The irony there being that if I wasn't so injured, I'd probably still be doing 9-5 and wouldn't be able to have a dog at all due to being out all day. I don't mind spending a bit of money on a pedigree puppy, I've been saving for just that for a while now.
