On yer bike.....

Well no, actually, on your spindle!
Every year during the Tour de France, there is a little community of people who take part in what's known as Tour de Fleece...during the time that the riders are on their bikes, we are on our wheels and spindles.

1. "precious" Blue faced Leicester being spun on a drop spindle.

2. My first attempt at Navajo plying with "Take back" a Merino/Bamboo blend.

3. My favourite so far "precious" has now been spun into a 2 ply yarn and is renamed "Smeagol"

4. More "Smeagol"

5. yarns drying. The other yarn you see is a Shetland, plied with cotton to make a slubby gimp yarn...I might have to name that one "Slubby Gimp"
