Canada Day
It's technically a day early, but Meehan's Irish Pub here in Sandy
Springs held a celebration for local expatriates in honor of Canada Day.
1: Today's menu
2: Our selection - Poutine and steamed garlic muscles from Prince Edward
Island
3: Raven in my (very patriotic) hat
4: Raven spectating - the local NHL team (the Atlanta Thrashers)
sponsored place where kids could play a little hockey
5: Folks fooling around with the hockey sticks & balls
6: My friends Matt & Laura who, while not Canadian, joined Raven & I for
the afternoon
7: Singing "O Canada"

Accessorized Buddha

My friend's little girl has a Buddha statue. Apparently, when the
six-year-old meets the Buddha on the road... she gives him accessories.

From last night's dinner:
My friends Matt & Laura have a couple of us over every Thursday. Matt cooks
dinner and then we watch something (currently we're getting caught up on
Battlestar Galactica).
Matt's mother was in town this week, so she graciously cooked for
everyone. I must say, she makes an incredible Pastichio and an equally
wonderful Spanikopita.
Edit: OK, so I guess it's actually spelled Pastitsio.
