\(^ ^ ) My name is Yuba. I'm a 23 year old teacher and freelance translator living in Tokyo, Japan. Sometimes I model. Sometimes I sleep. A lot of the time, I take photos of what I'm about to eat. Yum yum yum!

Just some lomo-style shots from around and about. The first two taken in Shinagawa, and the latter two from around where I live.
This vending machine offers you the least choice possible - while at the same time advertising a completely different product!
I know that there are already lots of better photos of this than mine out there, but I finally got to see it in person!
"Look, this is what you came here for!"
I guess it's a little embarrassing to be told that, but it was pretty much true. What's the Square-Enix shop without the giant, floor-embedded statue of Sephiroth?
It was a little weird to be walking all over him, admittedly. But I'd probably pay to have one of these in my bathroom. It'd make an interesting talking point.
... I knew that would get your attention.
I got this free today from Softbank when I picked up my iPhone. I had no idea what it was until I looked inside -- tissues!!!! :D
It's very cute, but I am a little weirded out by the fact that it has two faces.
Today I went out to see some illuminations near Tokyo Station. I was promised spectacular light displays! ...I was met with this. Pac-Man. I think.
The fountains were nice, but when we approached the skeletal Pac-Man it abruptly started vomiting water! :( Quite scary. Not sure what to make of it. It was either brilliant or disturbing - or equal parts both.
Bonus shot of some water. I guess I was totally not in the mood for taking photos today XD Why have I come away with only these!?
"If you eat this, you feel just like staying in great nature."
I'm not really sure what that means - or if that's really something I'm going to feel while eating butter - but let's try it out!
Two boxes of Japanese sweets that I brought back for my family get-together this weekend. They're both daifuku: the pink ones are choco-strawberry, and the white ones are cream and sweet potato. :)
I'm sure you could probably guess, but the choco-strawberry ones were snapped up right away! People were a little more reluctant to try sweet potato. More leftovers for me, I guess!
Many, many cakes.
I'm not sure how my mother does it. Since yesterday morning she's managed to cook meals for (and house) sixteen people.
(Faithful MoBlog followers will notice that I am no longer in Japan. Fear not! I have been busy but have a huge backlog of photos to upload. I am at home for Christmas and will be back in Japan before the new year.)
