Longside Shadows

(viewed 858 times)
Faustus and I walked over to the other side of the valley this afternoon. The Longside Gallery is a converted indoor riding centre - a big shed for big bits of sculpture.

Exploded View

Promenade (details/disassembled), Anthony Caro, 1996, painted steel

Interesting to see sculpture treated simply as bits of metal to be moved around.

Hook, Line & etc

(viewed 630 times)
They've got a big-big crane with a big-big hook. The sculpture bits are pretty dang heavy.
