It's Valentine's Day soon, a time for us all to let our partners and adored ones know that we fancy them rotten. Our Valentines competiton takes into account those of us who live the single life too, so the competition is open to all, with great prizes for the best batchelor and batchelorette and best couple.

come to our birthday party on feb 10th..



MoblogUK is celebrating our 2nd (and a bit) birthday this February, and we would love for you to come along and help us do that. The party will be on the 10th of February at the bar/restaurant Cantaloupe in Old Street, London.

Cantaloupe serve a huge range of European beers, and the food is great (snacks will be provided), so there is something for everyone. We love prizes and presents, so there will be a raffle on the night with prizes sponsored by Warp Records, Digital Camera Magazine (tbc), www.iwantoneofthose.com, Nokia, Mute Records, Sony Ericsson and more! If you can't make it on the night, you can still take part, by buying raffle tickets from our online shop.

Google Adsense adverts are going to be launched on the site from January 9th. They will appear on the the home page, the search page, personal blogs, shared blogs, this page and the phone reviews pages. We hope these ads are going to generate revenue to fund ongoing development of moblogUK. We're intending to incorporate many 'site suggestions' from the forums and launch many new features throughout 2006.

Subscribers won't see any ads at all (when they are logged in). If you don't want to see ads, and get all the other benefits of being a subscriber, you can subscribe here.

Now closed - The Soundtrack to Your Life Competition - this one was very hard to judge, as all our competitions have been, but the judges finally settled on Afternoon's huge four-part entry, Sounds Of The Afternoon. While most entries had some fantastic imagery, we felt that the dedication shown to create this well-crafted essay on music was enough to just take the top spot.

The theme of this moblog competition is "Living the Moment", with particular reference to live music moments. So whether you've got pictures from this years festivals, live shots from a gig, or something that sums up your favourite live music moment, send us your snaps.

A selection of the best images will be shown alongside images of the all-time top 50 live music moments, as chosen by celebrities such as Ricky Wilson (Kaiser Chiefs), Carl Barat (The Libertines), Jimmy Cauty (The KLF) and Chaz Smash (Madness), at the Living the Moment exhibition taking place at Sony Ericsson Proud Camden, from 29th July — 2nd Sept.

The top two entrants will each win a brand new Sony Ericsson K750i 2-megapixel camera phone and a pair of tickets to the exclusive exhibition preview night on Thursday 28th July.
