Important News

and a metric tonne of new things

Finally, we're on the new server, and most shiny and exciting it is too. You may have lost a message or two if you were unlucky enough to send one during the ten minutes or so the changeover actually happened, but everything seems to be in order now. Please get in touch if you're experiencing any problems.

Also, new server - new domain! We are now the proud owners of The old domains will still work, but they'll redirect you to the new one seamlessly. NOTE: submission emails have not changed - you still send them to

New stuff!

Comment editing! Loads of you had been asking for this, and it's finally here - you can edit comments you made while you were logged in - no more typos stuck on the page now.

Smaller emails - sorry about this, but we've had to restrict the maximum size of your emails. As the site grows, so does the space it takes up, and it's been growing pretty fast recently. This size limit won't affect the vast majority of you, but it will help keep the server's disk use under control a bit.

PLEASE NOTE: As of now, the largest an entire email can be is 256Kb Any mails larger than that will be dropped by the server.

More comment options - you can now select to only have people on your friends list add a comment. This seemed to be the next natural option from what was already there, and there'll be more privacy related features to come later.

There have also been a swathe of minor bug fixes and enhancements.

And, if all that wasn't enough, Joe Archer has donated another theme, the clean and minimalist Bluelines. Thanks Joe!

new theme

and a small fix
Joe Archer has contributed a new theme, the dark and clean lined Graygraff. We like it, thanks Joe.

The 'latest images' page will now behave properly when you page back through posts older than 48 hours. Apologies about that one, it somehow slipped through the net.

pile of updates

some nifty new things

A few pages have been updated and improved:

latest image page: much more sensible now, safe from being piled up with multiple image posts; and adjustable time based display - only show images you've missed.

'edit profile' page: see 'general settings' for two new options, the ability to hide your moblog from the shared pages; and a switch to let us (and other people) know that your moblog is creative commons licensed.

This last option has helped in making the search page more flexible, and more useful, provided people remember to set it! (note: this will not attach a license to your moblog)

Plus some small changes to some other pages to accomodate the new features. enjoy!

user profiles

you now all have a profile page!

All users now have a profile page - it doesn't show much, but there's plenty of space to put things in. The 'edit profile' page has been extended, and has a few more features as well.

You'll find the link to someone's profile just below their name on their moblog.

Sprint Users

Good news!

After some reading, some emailing of people and a long night hacking php around, we may now be able to accept Sprint Picture Shares. (sprint don't send an image in the email, they send a link to a webpage with the image in)

We say 'may', as being based in the UK means we don't have any Sprint phones to test with, so we'd really appreciate you trying a couple of posts if you do have one.

Fingers crossed!

more comment control

you may now restrict comments

In your profile page, you should now see an option to select who can post comments to your moblog - anyone, registered users only, or no-one at all.

The default setting is to allow anyone to post.

new default theme

Inspired by both Dan and piece'o, we present clean three No preview, you can see it right here, as it's the new site default. The old default is still available, if you want it, from the 'edit profile' page - it's called five by five.

How exciting..
