it was late twilight, but I was using a flash too. AF and VR were both off, ISO-1600, apature priority.

was chuffed with these. will have to try and remember to take camera bat hunting again.

If I'd had more time, I'd have set things up a bit more carefully - stopped down as far as possible (for the bestest hyperfocal goodness), de-auto'd metering and actually planned the exposures so the bat was less washed out. And, again time allowing - had a crack at slightly longer exposures with some slow-sync flash action.
