Welcome to the official Moblog for One Night Only!

This is where the band post photos of pretty much anything while they are on the road (including you guys!)

BUT they want YOU to get involved too!

They want to see pics that YOU have taken of THEM out and about, so get snapping. They might even pick some winning shots and send out some stuff including tickets to go see them play.

Sending your posts in is really simple, and you can post from your mobile phone, or from your email account.

If you're sending from your mobile, just create a normal MMS, then send it to:

onenightonly@moblg.net (you could save this as a new contact in your phone to make it even easier)

When you're sending via MMS, in the area where you would put in a number, just press the button that changes your input from numbers to letters and enter the above email address!

Sending from your email account is exactly the same, just email your pictures and video to:

onenightonly@moblg.net

Keep checking back…

Owner Simon Walsh aka myself says, "I am looking forward to a whole new
generation of users benefiting from this exciting and innovative club!
Wheelies has provided thousands of disabled and non-disabled people around
the world with a safe, fun and supportive environment." Simon's avatar was
the first to use a virtual wheelchair full time in Second Life in May, 2006.

Founded in 2006, Wheelies is a great example for the use of Second Life as a
supportive environment for people with disabilities, receiving attention
from academia worldwide. In July 2008, Wheelies was awarded the UK Catalyst
Revolutionary Award, presented by Gordon Brown, UK's Prime Minister.
Wheelies has also received a huge amount of publicity since its founding,
including Newsweek International, BBC World Service, Canadian TV News, and
UK Times Newspaper. Says one Wheelies fan, "What I like about Simon's place
is that it's OK to be disabled or not-disabled. You can feel at ease with
someone different while having fun together."

On December 3rd, 2009, Wheelies will reopen with an expanded campus and
sponsorship, treating Second Life residents to a live music concert starting
at 1pm SLT (9pm GMT). Featured artists include musicians Slim Warrior and
Jaynine Scarborough, and DJ Meka Chaffe, live from the UK, Germany, and US.

Acting as MC will be special guest, Pathfinder Linden, hosting from US
(Boston). Says Pathfinder, "I am honored to MC for Simon! Linden Lab is glad
to cheer on worthy community activities such as Wheelies74."

There is no cover charge and all are welcome to attend. Following the grand
opening, a regular two-event-a-week schedule of live entertainment begins.

Dear Colleague and Friend,

RE: Proud Issue 10 - Its Wheelie Happening

Welcome to my monthly newsletter telling you what I been up to and what is new in how I can enable you. If you no longer wish to receive my newsletter, please email me to ask me to unsubscribe you.

I can not belief November is here and my fortunes have certainly taken a more positive turn. This month I am focusing on my latest and most exciting project, Wheelies 74, and an amazing opportunity for you to have a share of it success. I would like to explain the club and how you could help me help you.

Wheelies is the world's first disability themed virtual nightclub based in Secondlife. Founded in September 2006 by myself (Simon Walsh in SL), Wheelies has provided 10,000s disabled and non-disabled people around the world with a safe, fun and supportive environment. The club is particularly welcoming to people who visibly use wheelchairs and other impairment specific devices as my avatar was the first to use a wheelchair when I joined Secondlife in May 2006.

As a nightclub, it had provided a number of events each either with a live dj playing a wide range of music, or with a live artist such as a singer or musician. The club has been previously funded by 'tips' and other donations but mainly subsidised by myself and other owners. Due to financial difficulties, Wheelies was transferred to new private owners where it remains.

Over the last 3 years, Wheelies has received a huge amount of publicity including Newsweek International, BBC World Service, Canadian TV News and UK Times newspaper. It has also had a lot of attention by academia worldwide as a good example of how Secondlife can be positively used. In July 2008, Wheelies was awarded the Revolutionary Award of the UK Catalyst Award, presented by Gordon Brown, UK's Prime Minister.

Wheelies has until recently been a leading nightclub in Secondlife which has been widely respected 'in-world', by Linden Labs (makers of Secondlife) and by many others. The principals of Wheelies in terms of providing informal support in a fun, safe and easy manner has been core to its success.

During the summer of 2009 Wheelies once again faced financial difficulties and it has been left to stagnate. The club had also taken on a political dimension which did not make it fully inclusive to an international or pan-impairment audience, and therefore I felt the club was no longer meeting its original objectives. I therefore had two options to change this situation. The first would be to battle with the current owners in order to restore Wheelies to its original purpose and structure, which would have been difficult. The second was to start again with a fresh new sheet.

I have therefore chosen the later and this is the basis of Wheelies 74. Wheelies 74 is a brand new club which is based on the values of Wheelies as well as bringing disability and fun in secondlife to the next level. The club will be dynamic and innovative, looking at continuously improving its style, schedule and features.

The club will formally open on 3rd December 2009 at 1pm slt (9pm UK time) with a 3 hour event with more details to be confirmed nearer the event. This will be followed by the creation of weekly events on specific days. Each of these days will have a sponsor and, a title and brand such as "rolling mondays", "wheeling wednesdays" and "therapy thursdays". The brand may also be linked to the sponsor like 'Pepsi Saturdays' or 'Big Mac Sundays'

After a lot of consideration, I have decided sponsorship is the best way to proceed as it offers a win win solution for both for the club and the sponsor. It offers the club a guaranteed income for a specific branded event for a number of weeks, allowing a continuity to be maintained and a crowd to grow. It also allows ongoing investment in the club to ensure the club remains cutting edge in its features and brand.

The benefits for sponsor are that they are associated with the Wheelies 74 brand and the values of the club. The event brands not only allows the sponsor to have a relationship with the immediate guests but also will enjoy a share of the potential international publicity that may be generated in terms of media articles, video and so on. In developing a long term relationships, sponsors are likely to enjoy over the next years, a major virtual presence that will create significant international recognition.

What do sponsors get?

For 10 or more week sponsorship, the following benefits will be received

• The branding of the weekly event consisting of;

o 1 hour live artist

o 2 hours live DJ

• Banners displayed during the event with links to the sponsor's website

• Verbal announcements about the sponsor during the event

• Information about the sponsor on the club's website

• Information about the sponsor on the club's SL group

• Information about the sponsor on the club's facebook group

• Information about the sponsor on the club's press releases

• Adverts on the club's 24/7 stream

• Potential active involvement in the future development of Wheelies

Future features may be added as the club develops. The cost of the sponsor per week shall be 25GBP or US$45, 28€ or l$10000 (Secondlife currency). A 10% discount will be offered if a 10 week agreement is agreed, 25% discount on a 20 week agreement and 40% discount for a 52 week agreement if paid in advance. Full terms and conditions will be explained when an agreement is discussed and arranged.

If you are interested in being a sponsor, please contact me on w74@simonstevens.com or IM Simon Walsh in Secondlife.

So its back to work as I put the finishing touches to the club and also start on my next project, my online virtual training centre and 'Understanding Disability' training packages.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Dear Colleague and Friend,

RE: Proud Issue 9 - The wet stuff

Welcome to my monthly newsletter telling you what I been up to and what is
new in how I can enable you. If you no longer wish to receive my newsletter,
please email me to ask me to unsubscribe you.

October is already upon us and it is amazing how one month can make be huge
different. While the January and February, my life took a major nose dive as
I have well documented, September has seen me rebuild my life and start
enjying my pasions. I am very proud that after being housebound for 3 months
and 9 months rehab, I was able to go swimming, waterskiing and whitewater
rafting, my wetsuits are finally being used! And this month I plan to go
windsurfing as well as making the most of the winter by using my drysuits
for watersports and enjoying going out as much as I can, maybe seeing some
musicals!

I am also at my full working potential which many projects on the go. I have
a new October 2009 version of Pathway on USB stick available for ?49 and I
am on track on opening Wheelies 74 on 3rd December 2009 and I am still
looking for sponsors, anyone interested? I am also busy working with clients
on a whole range of activities.

The keyword for the month is Data, which is an important part of business.
It is knowledge built up over time that helps an individual or company
operate efficiently and gives them their competitive advantage. Therefore,
because data is so vital to the future success of an organisation it makes
sense to protect it. Computers are undeniably useful, but they are also
notoriously unreliable at times. Hard-drives fail for seemingly no reason,
viruses unexpectedly infect operating systems and thieves tend to strike at
inconvenient times. Having a plan B should not be optional, it should be a
requirement!

This is why I use Backup Direct for all my backup needs, which is a great
service. For more information visit www.backupdirect.net or call 0800 0789
437.

I am hoping for another productive month as with new energy and confidence,
I make big efforts in my personal and working lifes.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Dear Colleague and Friend,

RE: Proud Issue 8 - Never say Never

September is upon us and the unofficial New Year has started! Welcome to my
monthly newsletter telling you what I been up to and what is new in how I
can enable you. If you no longer wish to receive my newsletter, please email
me to ask me to unsubscribe you.

One of the most important lessons I have learnt in my life is that you can
never say never. Things and concepts which you may always believed to be
solid as a rock can easily turn into liquid and become something very
different. You can sometimes find yourself doing things you never imagined
you would. This year has certainly broaden my understanding of this as I
have experienced things I would have never dreamt possible.

In this context I have reviewed a lot of what I do and in particularly what
I am doing in Secondlife as I look at providing an integrated multimedia
approach to all my product and services including secondlife, facebook,
youtube, twitter and so on. One area which I am completely revamping is my
entertainment services. Although I have not owned the Wheelies club for over
18 months, I have remained supportive to its development. I have however
recently felt it has lost its way and no longer serves the purpose it was
designed for.

I will therefore no longer raise funds of the existing club but rather
opening a new club "Wheelies 74" which was be an new and exciting additional
to the brand which will be run as an totally seperate project, bringing a
cuting edge to this cornerline of Secondlife. The club will be funded
through sponsorship offering companies and organisation an exciting new
promotional opportunity starting from 25 GBP, 45 USD or 28 euros! Please
contact me if you are interested in a receiving a sponsorship pack.

Please also contact me if you interested in receiving the October 2009
version of Pathway, which has a lot of new features, for a special
pre-release paypal price of ?35 and before it returns to the new price of
?70. With 14000 organisations, I have spent a lot of time ensuring it is
upto date and the data is user friendly.

As always I am fit for work and willing to have a try at anything, you can
challenge me if you like! The economy is now slowly improving but it is
still important organisations are fully inclusive to have the market edge
and this is always something I can help with.

I look forward to hearing from you.
