This pearl of local journalism was found in this week's Western Telegraph:
(CAPITALS are my addition)
PASSERS BY KICKED UP A STINK about a sign which appeared on a St Davids
Restaurant last week.
The word "fart" attracted both complaints, amusement and HOT AIR when it was
spotted on the Cartref Restaurant (pictured) in Cross Square.
The building was being refurbished at the time, and it is thought the
letters were rearranged as a joke, but it was not thought any action would
FOLLOW THROUGH.
A spokesman for the city council said concern had been voiced about the
word, but the situation had now BLOWN OVER.
The offending word was removed before an event in the city on Saturday
Morning.

Yesterday was our first real beach day - though we had to hastily change
venue after the local bus company fucked up. It's coming to something when
FirstBus provide a better service than your "friendly" local bus service
(about whom I shall be complaining to the council...) still, for a second
choice, Manorbier is not bad.

the taxi office in the previous shot was nothing compared to West Wales
General Hospital in terms of sheer squalor. The only photo I dared take was
of a bit of carpark as we were leaving. As you can see, the sun was casting
shadows.
We walked back to town, about 2 miles, and had a couple of hours in which to
do some shopping before the train home, only after about half an hour it
started to rain, and it just got heavier, heavier and heavier. Even by Welsh
standards, this rain was hea-veeeeee. We will take some drying out.

...would be complete without a visit to the Slipped Disc stall in the indoor
market. I try not to go looking for anything specific, as they have so much
to quiver my liver that I could happily just close my eyes and grab a random
handful. Today's additions to my eclection are Ali Farka Toure and Brass
Monkey - Abba's Super Trouper will have to wait.
