We love British accents, and we'd like to celebrate their diversity with you.

To take part, just call 0151 266 8283 and tell us which accents you love (or hate) the most and why. Your message will then be posted directly to this site, where you can listen to it and send it on to your friends.

The best caller will win an awesome Nokia N82 along with a year’s free subscription to both Moblog and Spinvox.

On top of that, we’re going to throw in 250 Moo cards as well.

Great prizes for a great competition and all you have to do is pick up the phone!

Some accent stats:

Almost three quarters (73 per cent) of people in Britain don’t like the sound of their own voices.

Only one in twenty of us would like to speak Cockney.

Only one per cent of Brits would choose to speak like a Brummy.

Overall the Queen’s English is the most popular accent in Great Britain.

*calls are charged at the national rate or as part of your inclusive minutes

"Hello Moblog. Being Scottish myself I have to be quite biased and say that the Scottish accent is one of my favourites. I do also liked the Irish accent in girls and I also like the southern sort of English accent in girls as well. Boys I think in general you should only have a generic accent because it doesn't affect me whatsoever. A boy could speak like a robot and I wouldn't care but I do feel slightly partial towards the southern sweet English accent and off course a nice girly probably Edinburgh or Glasgow, Glaswegian(?) accent. So yes that's me that's my opinions. like it or lump it"
