Hi to all,

Thanks for visiting my moblog. :)

My interest in photography started at a very young age. A time when I was often told not to 'waste' the film as I had a tendency to take photo's of absolutely everything. Back then there was no digital camera of course and the cost of processing the amount of films I could get through was probably quite a drain on my parent's income.
The problem of cost remained as I got older too. I can remember a time I had around 12 rolls of film that needed processing and they would only get done now & then as I could afford it. It got to the stage where I couldn't even remember what was on half of them, so it was a bit of a surprise sometimes when I got them back from the lab and saw what was on them.

The dawn of the digital age was like some miracle to me. My first digital camera was, by today's standards, rubbish of course, but it allowed me to take as many photo's as I wanted (as many as could be held on the meagre internal memory) without any cost.
As technology improved so my interest increased, right up to the point it is today.

After going through several cameras (each time the camera soon becoming not quite good enough or not quite what I wanted or whatever) I got to the point where I decided it had to be a DSLR to satisfy my needs/wants.

I now own a Canon EOS 400D which is my main camera, but I also have an Olympus C5000, a premier pocket compact and my Satio of course.

I live in Suffolk in the heart of Broadland (translated: in a field) and feel very lucky to be able to see the countryside no matter which window I look out of.
This suits me and my subject preference perfectly. Nature & Wildlife photography is my main interest.
I'm also very interested in macro photography, but until I can afford to buy a proper macro lens I don't think I will be completely satisfied with my results.

So there you have it. If you want to know anything else about me, just ask.

I'm off to buy a lottery ticket. ;)
