I am a Web Editor based in Leeds,UK. I've also done a bit of freelance events, marketing and web design work.
I grew up in West Coast Scotland. This was rainy, but nice as I met some of the greatest people I have ever known there. While at high school I started work on a hospital radio station with a good friend, Colin.
Although the pull of radio was strong I had a much stronger love of organising charity events, and while living in Glasgow a couple of years later I got involved with the university charity appeal - or "Rag". After a year of purely running events I realised this was the career for me, and took a role as Rag President at Strathclyde University. The year after I took up a year long Student's Union Sabbatical post in Leicester, running the charity appeal there. The culture shock between Glasgow and the Midlands was surprising, and at times challenging - however it was a superbly fun city that still has a special place in my heart. This is in part due to meeting my Wife, Jo, there!
After living in Leicester I moved to Leeds to run a students appeal for Barnardo's, which was really a culmination of everything I'd been doing for the past 5 years and an opportunity to put my entrepreneurial and organisational skills to real practice.
