Hello and welcome to my moblog. Here are lots of random images from my life at home on the Isle of Lewis and out and about.

The photos are mostly taken with my iPhone 3GS, but I'll also be posting some from my Nikon D80.

You can see more of my photography at my website 58 North Photography.

I'm doing an assignment on something I have no interest whatsoever in (all in the name of getting a qualification, which, if I want the position on Lewis, I have to be working towards. Unfortunately this is year 1 of 3, but I will be part qualified after year 1). 2000 words still left to do (before Wednesday). I'm full of a cold and can think of much better things to do on a Sunday, or any time really. Blah.

Rainy day

(viewed 571 times)
Spent ten minutes getting soaked in the back garden taking these after work today, then I got menaced by some cows, so I went inside to escape and dry off.Still no news on the move to Lewis, work are being very slow, so we're still waiting...

Friday could change my life

(viewed 614 times)
I have a very important meeting at work on Friday to discuss whether there is an opportunity to relocate to the Isle of Lewis. I'm trying very hard not to get my hopes up in case nothing comes of it, but when I was up there last week it all sounded quite promising. I really don't know whether it will happen, but I'd jump at the chance to go, and hopefully all will be revealed on Friday (and to be honest I have itchy feet now, so might go anyway - it would just be a lot more difficult without the job to go to).

The photo was taken on a trip up there a couple of summers ago.

Self portrait

(viewed 617 times)
I took this in Switzerland so I could see how bad my sunburnt nose
looked (it was red, hence why I've turned the photo into black &
white), but I quite like it, which is unusual for photographs of myself.
