Glasshouse - Charles Stross

(viewed 1526 times)
Thank you Euphro for letting me know it was outThe Wow-factor in Accelerando was incredible. Ideas hitting hard like a series of punches for the whole of the book. But I could put it down and come back to it because it wasn't all that well written. I didn't want to put Glasshouse down. It gripped me and I wanted to see what would happen next. But sadly the wow-moments didn't come. Can't wait for his next...

The S Word

(viewed 1189 times)
This is what I'm reading now, "The Higher Power of Lucky". The
appearance of the word "scrotum" on the very first page of this
children's book has created a huge fuss in the U.S. with schools and
libraries refusing to acquire it, despite its being a Newberry Medal
winner. Here is an editorial written by the author

I only wish I had a ten year old to read it to.
