One of the great things about traveling through leeds station in the mornings is i'm starting to get all sorts of odd freebees... so far i've managed a chocolate bar, 2 cans of coke, and these litte fellows. i shall call them mo and blog. not mob and log, because it's not pronounced that way in my book ;)

Road safety week - 6th-11th November 2006

(viewed 1918 times)
Hello all,

Yep, I've been a little absent on moblog since getting the new job, but I wanted to raise this one as it's been a campaign close to my heart for a while.

As most of you probably know I've campaigned pretty strongly against taking photos whilst driving on this site, and it's for good reason. A few years back one of the men I had the greatest professional respect for died in a car crash, and I miss him a lot. I never got to meet my Uncle Michael, who died in a car crash shortly before his wedding. I'd have liked to do that.

Every day, nine people are killed and ten times as many are seriously injured on UK roads.

I apologise to those I have been overbearing to on this subject in the past, but hope you understand I find it unbearable to think that people cared for so much can be taken so abruptly.

So, drivers, please this week have a look at http://www.roadsafetyweek.org.uk/
No matter how you feel about it, someone who cares greatly for you won't have to suffer a loss.

Sean x
