Settling in nicely, but Austin is either going 100mph or he's fast asleep so it's easier to get snoozy photos! The shelter told us he's five, but we reckon it's more like two!

On our way home

(viewed 840 times)
Introducing Austin, the beautiful Golden Retriever we adopted on Thanksgiving Day. He had a rough start in life: found as a stray by the RSPCA, then taken to a shelter where they did lots of work to give him trust in humans again. He was there for a long time so we know this may not be easy, but that's okay. He's got a good soul.

Thank you flowers

(viewed 6371 times)
We dog-sat for some good friends of ours recently and were given these lovely flowers as a thank you. 'Twas rather cool, having a pup in the house again.

*Since you went away...

The days grow long
And soon I'll hear
Old Winter's Song

But I miss you most of all
My darling
When autumn leaves
Start to fall*

This time of year really makes you miss a Golden Retriever you've loved and lost. Just the colour of the leaves and remembering the way all that fur looked in the Autumn sun. It's been six months since our boy passed away and I miss him every day. I went on one of our old walks on Saturday and took a few pictures....

We saw 'Elvis' on the way to Aberystwyth on Monday.

Had a nice stroll around the castle too...

Spent a lovely day with Goonflower yesterday....

Taken when I went for a walk with my Mum the other day. No zoom needed -- the horses just swished their tails, munched on the grass and let me walk right up to them. So beautiful!

Dancin' shoes

(viewed 1908 times)
My old ballet shoes, taken from what's left of my teenage bedroom at my Mum and Dad's house. I did a lot of dancing many moons ago and these shoes are well loved.
Rest In Peace, Mr. Swayze.
