FREE SHOOT EVENT! - Places Still Left...

(viewed 1231 times)
There are still some places left for this Saturdays Shoot Encounter event in London. See sidebar for details.

This is a completely FREE event, and Shoot Experience are still asking for teams to join in the fun, so please come down and join us.

So far, we have two teams consisting of: harry, harimanjaro, minkey, me, taniwha, 095 + friend. Anyone wishing to join this motley crew will be most welcome!

These events are always brilliant, and as well as the prizes and camaraderie on offer, this event has a special feature: the chance to have your photograph on the cover of the next Lonely Planet guide for London.

Just drop a line in the comments if you fancy it, and we'll get things sorted.

I believe we're getting together for coffee beforehand, probably around 10am.

The Photogenic Hustlers Convention: Shoot London Grand Prize Winning Entry!

(viewed 2549 times)
and mighty proud of it we are too!

the clue was: You won't hear the archangel or Peter singing here, despite the name
answer: Gabriels Wharf

this was the penultimate shot that we captured, and it was truly about 15 minutes of sheer team inspiration. the location was not a picnic, and there were no obvious shots. after throwing out a few ideas we saw the beach, but it was only once we got down on the sand that we came up with the idea. jc proved a natural at drawing angel wings, steph is obviously already an angel, and as for 095, well, he knew he was never going to heaven for all his sins, so he drew the halo (kidding 095! you know you'd look good in wings, baby!). I ran back up to the promenade and clicked. i shot it with the camera upside down, so angel steph looks a bit floaty :)

and here's another cherry: it's likely that this shot will form part of the TATE's website. whilst shooting this, some reps from the TATE were watching, and we started speaking about disclaimers etc. steph, the new face of the TATE. WIN WIN!

The pictures are on the Shoot London 07 site now :)
