this raccoon arrived a few days ago and took up residence in the defunct chimney in my studio. Today I heard her new babies calling to her from the bottom of the chimney.
I think this might be her, because only one raccoon seems to think my studio is relaxing.
This is hepatica, the first spring ephemeral--one of many plants that grow, bloom and go to seed before the trees leaf out and shade the forest floor. It's small, fast and beautiful. what more could you want?
Every year I go back home to Montreal on Good Friday. Facto and John host a fabulous open house party, with great food, music and animation. I see old and good friends, the latest animation, and Facto and I get time to walk around and take photos together. Montreal is a great city, and no one loves spring more than Canadians.
John showed me this film and Oscar and I really like it.
