on one side was a storm. on the other side, sun. it made the poplars silver.
I am up north to beat time. the further north you go, you turn spring back. The maple-birch-birch forests are carpeted in these. everywhere. As well, the black flies are so thick it is hard not to breathe them in. they are eating me alive.
I am on a deadline. I have a painting that I have to finish tonight and I have been working on it for days. I needed some time away. Bronxelf's struggle to keep the walrus alive, and his death made me think so much of Annie and how much I miss having something silly around. So I went to the pound. All the dogs are half pit bull and here it is law you have to walk them muzzled and on a leash. It makes them crazy. I looked at all the cats and saw two I really like. Birds, too. But in another part of the pound are wild animals, and I ended up there, taking this photo after being told not to, that I didn't work there....
I could have taken home a lot of cats and bunnies. I resisted. I need a dog first. then we can introduce the rest of the wildlife.
no chickens, or I would have for sure taken one home.
real estate is expensive downtown now. so they build on top of existing buildings. that means you have to get a crane on top of the building.
