Birthday lunch

(viewed 709 times)
When they brought her desert at the Rainforest Cafe, the staff sang happy birthday to Ariana. I think she loved it.

The countdown had started weeks ago - 15 more days, 14 more ... until it arrived this morning at 6. Presents centred around her love of dancing, music and making things. Had some friends over for a party. It was all very emotional.

The American Cemetery at Colleville sur Mer, one of the sites for the Normandy landing. I wasn't quite sure what to expect - and I didn't expect to be scanned at the visitors centre - but the museum was surprisingly interesting and the cemetery was rather calm and beautiful.

In the first two - this guy stood for some time at the top and then sat for a while. I don't think he jumped. A lot of the kids seemed to have no fear at all.
