My Gibson Les Paul Epiphone.
As I walked out of my local guitar store, Pete's Musician's Market, in Newtown, I saw this hanging on the wall. It was 1997. I had bought it before Pete had taken it off the wall for me to try. In fact, I just ogled it in the box and told him I'd take it.
My pal who was with me said "Aren't you going to try it?". Oh, yeh. So I had a half-hearted strum. It was good.
And mine ever since!

Niiiiice. I can see why you bought it right away... I did that with my natural wood finish Yamaha electric - I knew it was my guitar as soon as I walked into the shop and saw it hanging on the wall.
