Making a CD with Pearl Jam!

(viewed 2917 times)

Pearl Jam have continued their series of 'official live bootleg' on their current tour - recording and releasing every show on the tour as an 'official bootleg'. They've been doing this for a while and I've bought a show each time around. This time around they've decided to make things completely digital - you pay to download the show and with the music files you get digital artwork and also hi-res digital photos from the show. Here's my (fairly successful) attempt at turning my digital music into...physical music!

1. Burn CDs in iTunes.

2. Print disc labels onto *glossy* paper!

3. Print all labels and covers using clever-ass labelling software.

4. Apply glossy labels to discs.

5. Finished front cover in jewel-case!

6. Finished back cover in jewel-case!Oh what fun!

All for only 10 dollars!

spoon_lamp - you really should check out their later stuff, it's all amazing....such a consistent band, never a bad album...and they've stood the test of time that non of the other bands from that era managed to!

And YES they should tour the UK cause they haven't been here since 2000!

Thats like what the Pixies did @ Reading - you could pay for their live set up front and then they press the CDs and post them out to people who bought them! Smashing idea if their set was good (which it was!) I wish Biffy Clyro did it because they were amazing live there!

do you have to find your own double cd case? did your printer screw up cos it's liney, or is it supposed to be like that? i can't decide!

it's cool, it's not just a cd it's a whole rainy day activity!! woo!

James says:

1. Yes I had to use my own case, but I just used one from a CD I don't listen to *coughdashboardslatestalbumcough*

of the 5 pj albums i own, this is the order in which i dig them:

1. vitalogy
2. vs
3. ten
4. yield
5. no code

but there's almost nothing to tell between 2, 3 & 4. and they're ALL really good...

where do you get posh labels like that from james?

31st Oct 2005, 13:58

James says:

Yield is my favourite PJ album. But apart from that I can't put one above another.

You should get the other later studio albums 'Binaural' and 'Riot Act' - they're class!

As for the CD labels, the pack came from PC World I think, but the company who makes them is called 'Neato'
