ElphsHouse says:

Thanks, Joe. I've already had that particular round number. and you're right, it wasn't so bad
: D

And I bet this one won't be either.

1st Nov 2005, 14:22

ElphsHouse says:

nah, it's just a number. and it beats the alternative!
I think my husband is planning a surprise for me...Depeche Mode is playing here tomorrow night, and so is Tony Bennett.

*sigh* I am sad sad sad about the Depeche Mode show -- the Tampa show is the same night as the Lyle Lovett concert and while I've been a Depeche Mode fan for, oh, my entire life, I promised a friend I'd go with her to the Lyle Lovett show before I knew about the conflict.

If we weren't such good friends....

I'll just have to keep my fingers crossed that they all live long enough to tour one more time. I've missed them for some ridiculous reason EVERY SINGLE TIME they've been anywhere near me. They are last on the list of bands I really, really, really want to see before I die.

ElphsHouse says:

ohhh, that sucks even more. don't hate me when I tell you that I saw them in the late 80s, and they were awesome.
I'm the same way with Elvis Costello, i've missed him by )( that much more often than I care to count.

onceupon says:

Can I hate you just a little bit?

It doesn't help that tickets were SO expensive that none of my friends are going so even if I DID manage to bend time and rearrange everything, I'd be going by myself!

Elvis Costello.... I haven't seen him either but I've heard he's AWESOME live.

I did get to see David Bowie and that was sort of it for me. There's no topping that.

1st Nov 2005, 14:46

ElphsHouse says:

yes, a little bit, if i can hate you an equally small amount for David Bowie? : D

1st Nov 2005, 14:47

onceupon says:

You can hate me for David Bowie.

Especially since it was a tiny show, little more than a club show -- tiny venue, the whole thing was general admission. I was crushed up against the rail while he played the saxophone.
