The Shed is the blog of a unique group of friends from Australia who have collectively created a meeting place where they share information, ideas and discuss a range of issues releveant to "Men" in the context of today's society.

More than just a place to meet and have a few beers it has rapidly become a place of great learning on a range of different levels.

As the site grows we would encourage you to comment on any posting you have an interest in.

Like The Shed itself we would expect that some of these would be of a light hearted nature and some may require a little more thought and reflection.

Cheers Boys!!!

So here it is. The secret recipe stout, as brewed by members of the shed. Yes you are probably thinking it looks a little heady but it's not bad when you consider that this particular drop is only eight days old. It will improve over the next week or so. If it gets a chance.

We are looking for a name for this delightful little drop. It is very tasty but has a kick like a mule. It sits at around 10%.

If you have any suggestions in the name area please feel free to assist.

Here's Cheers

Mac says:

The problem with brewing a beer of this quality is that blokes tend to lose sight of all values when it comes to getting hold of some. An example being when a couple of blokes (one of whom had no input, financial or otherwise) in the creation of the beer, decide that it is OK to just help themselves, totally disregarding the time effort and literally years of research that has gone into the creation of said liquid.

Yes it is true that alcohol can bring out the worst in people but I thought that was after drinking it.

What a dilema. Creating a drop that causes blokes you would think were your mates, to disregard all protocols and manners associated with friendship and just rip into it whenever they feel the urge. I have a sense of what Nobel must have felt when they decided to use dynamite to kill people.

A sad day!!!

Dry as a bone says:

It is difficult to suggest a name when one hasn't had the opportunity to sample the brew as
others failed to exercise restraint.
Anyway, spitting the dummy achieves nothing and here goes b
Bushbok, Shedale, Darklout Stout, Founders' Brew, Dreadnaught Draught, Shedweissbier, Old Fartacus Ale, La Petite Maison Ale, Macangoose Porter, La Terrible, Deux Hommes Stout, Sur Le Mont Ale, Grande Reserve Shede and Insanity Stout.

Your suggestions are exceptional, however I fear that a couple are outside the shed's normal sphere of cultural awareness. I also have some concern of a couple of member's interpretation of "On the Mount".

We shall throw them in the ring with the others and see what happens.
