piccies from the ickle man in the big world who's moved to flickr for cost purposes... even though this is still cooler. He's called partbuthnott over there.
zackly. And I feel I'm being ripped off by the plumber who came to fix it... time to call someone local.
my flamingo 50 is not pint either and has refused to work, each time i let that grey button go, the pilot switches off, any idea what to do, apart from calling in a plumber and giving him my weeks salary.
Hey Arnie
THE solution to all my problems was NOT to call in the plumber and attempt to get him to *fix* it, but to get a nice local person to come and give it a full clean out / service. Basically it was all gunked up with stuff and £65 for a good clean and it all worked perfectly. I've got a very good local Oxford company who I'd recommend if you were within 50 miles or so...
Seemingly, one is meant to get the thing serviced once a year... Hope that helps... it's possibly the worst thing that can happen to ones home - the death of a boiler.
my boiler broke yesterday, im cold and the man aint coming untill tomorow.:(
sympathy flowing to you Mr Backward Lamb. It's a twunt. Suggest big jumpers and some of those £20 argos heatery things. Also suggest asking for yer man to do a service/clean before he gets heavy with the list of bits he needs to replace to make it work...
the pilot light wont light its broken
:(
im at work now so im warm
Yay for work and warmth and air conditioning as standard in dull orifices.
But seriously, get the man to clean the bits and it may just work -- gunk in the gas tube or summit may be the problem. I'll shut it now tho.
im not paying so he can do what he wants.
landlords pay for things like that
