I make things on the web, mobile and in the actual world.

I've done lots of bits and bobs over the years, and right now I'm mostly working on this.

I enjoy speaking about things I like, most recently this. You can email me if you'd like, and I'm on twitter.

Im on this Cit. Journalism special at 10:35, but also on at 7pm (at
around 7:15 actually) on the 7'o clock news before (BBC whoring as usual). If anyones able to, I'd really appreciate it if they could record this
to some digital format:*Citizen Journalists*
Wed 16 Nov, 10:35 pm - 11:35 pm 60minsThursday 7th July 2005 was an extraordinary day when London was
targetted by suicide bombers. For the first time, those caught up in
that attack had the ability to send images of the news events as they
happened through their mobile phones. The pictures these "citizen
journalists" took and the emails they sent changed the way news stories
are reported and told.; 051116/20051116_2235_4288_52038_60

James says:

I saw an ad for this and set a reminder to watch it. Not sure if I'll be able to catch the 7pm one, but I'll try and record the 22:35 one if my TV card decides to behave!

Man, that documentary was *SO* bad. Did anyone else watch that? The way each "citizen journalist" (apart from one) said that there was no way they would consider themselves citizen journalists, yet the show almost patronisingly continued with the disingenous buzzword. Gah.

Laser Dog says:

Bugger. I missed it. Sorry to hear it was a bit cringeworthy.

critical g says:

i watched it. it reminded me of a bbc schools programme. and they kept repeating bits.

there were a few graphic close-ups of alfies pores too! i thought it could of been half the length too.

seaneeboy says:

Mmmm... pores...

Top cringeworthyness ensued when I watched Colin Murray's "Street Cred Sudoku" on UKTV G2 the other night. Jesus. It was trying to be the ultimate in hip-cool, but fell down in the fact that one of the expert panalists was Steve Punt.

alfie says:

Crit.G - totally right, it was also just bloody SCHLOCKY!

Shloch Horror! (hehe)

OJ says:

Damn I missed it as I didn't watch TV last night.

The fact it was on BBC3 rather than BBC2 or 4 might be a clue to the tone of the programme. But I can't really comment as I didn't see it.

teflon says:

It's repeated a couple more times, but I may be able to get you a sneaky wee copy of it if you can't get hold of one from elsewhere.

Rich says:

Mua ha ha! When repeatang?
