My phone is taking rubbish photos at the moment. So for the benefit of
OJ who I was telling about it - one of my cakes.

Joe says:

ooo! nice!...I don't like jam though so can I just have some of the top bit please? :D

You can have whatever you like. Though the jam was rather lovely. I think there was about a full jar of tiptree little scarlett on there.

OJ says:

Mmmmmmm, hello cake (that's my best come hither voice).

Don't suppose there's any left, by any chance? Cheeky, me....

Sadly this is a retrospective moblog. This is the cake I made when John was over in the summer. One of the ones that contributed to more than one or two extra pounds being added to the total mass of sarah. Damn, why don't I have 20 kids so I can bake to my heart's content and never have to eat more than a sample slice?

That's the best justification for the agony of childbirth I've ever heard.

I'm a bit sad now that I know the cake is long gone... For a moment I thought you'd been inspired to bake another one and that I could wheedle a slice later. You cook so well.

*slinks off to have one of the many pieces of fruit littering her desk*

See, all the more reason to come see me on dark winter's nights more. We could bake cakes and drink wine in the kitchen.

Mmmm, cake. Mmm, wine. Mmmm, chatter.

If Homer Simpson were a British woman, he'd be me....
