Sea ice breakup

We've had strong winds recently, and the sea ice is beginning to break
up. This means more wildlife around base, as all the animals and birds
feed on marine creatures.

Last night the wind veered round to the south and blew a lot of the ice back in again. But at least it's broken up now :-)

Hey, Michael - we've just had a change in the JCR cruise schedule because of that failed AFI. It's looking a lot like I'm going to be in Rothera at the end of my cruise lateish in Feb so they can do take two.

I'll keep you posted, but it could be a chance for a meetup?
