This is an acrylic painting of Stini's, so I wanted to see if the
panasonic vs6 would pick up on the whorls and grains of the paint. This
is in normal room light, and although totally clear and relatively
crisp, for a 2 megapixel camera the vs6 doesnt pick up on the detail
that you'd expect.

I've not been impressed so far at all, this handset just doesn't seem to capture detail or colour as well as the SE models of the same resolution.

Thats the main issue I have with it, it just doesnt feel nor behave like a 2 megapixel. In its defence, it is a *very* pretty little phone.

*hates clamshells*

though admittedly it is a nice one.

yeah i liked the look of it;.. the big screen looked nice and crisp too but these certainly don't live up to the SE.

on top of that it's only got unchangeable 32mb storage no? and didn't i read somewhere you can't send emails on it neither?

alfie says:

16 million colours on the screen, no email!! and yup, only 32mb of storage. It's fine I think for someone who wants a phone thats sleek and relatively functional, an entry level mobloggers phone, and at the price it's affordable where a new sony ericsson simply wouldnt be on pay as you go.

THATS 2mp, that sucks for a 2 mp, and like joe i hate clamshells, sleek advertising to the minions

yes it is a lot lot cheaper which is why i'd noticed it. i'd sacrifice a whole lot of features for a cheapey good quality camera phone, but i guess i've been spoilt :)

I actually really like the design of it though and i'm not a fan of clamshells either.. but this ones so simple looking it works.

Davo says:

To me, the picture quality issue looks like a focussing problem. This could be either because the optics aren't high enough quality, (cheap), or badly adjusted, or both.
