it's an avi - so you need to tell firefox which program to open this type of file with, or let is use the windows (if your using it) default program. If you click the video link, you should get a download dialog asking you if you want to:

open with

if you select open with you can then choose which application should open this filetype. If you go to tools/options/downloads/view and edit actions

You should be able to tell it to do what you want if it currently isnt.

Hm..well it turns out I had firefox ver 1.0.7 so I dldded the 1.5...on clicking the pic above I go to a big Q, a small quicktime bar appears and fills with colour as normal but before it gets to the end of the bar the whole screen hangs and I have to force it shut...

...which is the latest vers of ffox? And thanks for helping by the way!
