Red Eye Reduction

Obviously taken in club darkness, it's really not too bad, but with the
red eye so heavy I thought nah forget it... But there is a great red eye
reduction edit function in the image edit suite. On a phone that is
capable of taking images at this resolution, with flash as standard,
this kind of editing function is really cool.

Good huh? Imo they have done a great job in blurring the line between midrange digital camera and the mobile phone.

James says:

Definitely. Which do you think is superior over all atm the 2 meg Nokia cameras or the 2 meg SE cameras?

alfie says:

I havnt had experience with the SE 2 meg line so can't really comment, I've heard good things about both, particularly the SE W800.

Steve says:

Does it have really bad shutter lag? is the picture you see the one that you get?

5th Jan 2006, 12:19

alfie says:

It depends Steve, the lag seems more pronounced in dark conditions, but it's generally very short, most of the time you do get what you shoot.

oh, and thanks

alfie says:

oh, and actually handling the phone is great. I really like a phone that has a bit of chunk to it, and the fold-out swivelly thing once you get into it makes for damn fast photography (which seems often to be necessary when moblogging for some reason). The phone automatically switches to camera mode when you swivel it out, which literally takes 2 seconds.
