I've never figured out what's so exciting about that game. A bunch of guys lined up. Then a bunch of guys in a big pile. Then lined up again.

*shrug*

John Madden. America's Jeff Stelling ... or an entirely computer generated man who only exists in Sega Megadrive games of the early-90s? Discuss.

'Football'? I think not my American friends! 'American Rugby' more like!

Spike says:

i disagree with you all, its a bit silly really, theres too much padding, the fun of rugby is partly to do with the risk, take away all the pasdding, THEN it will be a full contact sport!

what do you mean dave dissagree? every one here has said bad things about it you say you dissagree then say its silly,? i dont underget it my head hurts what do you mean dave,

on a nother note ive played it a little and its good fun to play, but takes too long, dave is right about rugby being fun cos you run faster trying not to get hurt but with all the padding its not that painfull unless you twist a joint and that hurts like ..... well alot.

I've played John Madden '93. *It* was quite good ...

It'd be a decent sport if they cut out all the hanging around doing nothing.

They are all big lycra clad gays though.

So to answer your initial question: The first one.

But if there was no hanging around between plays there'd be no need for cheerleaders...

my ousin played pro american football for a shot period. I never got it. I always thought it was so silly and always loved soccer much more.
One day my cousin and I were watching tv and I asked him what he thought of soccer. He told me how he had attended a game (metro stars) and thought is was the most boring game ever.
He said how they kept just running up and down the field and IF they socred it was maybe one or two the entire time.

So I guess just how we all don;t get american football, american footballers don't get soccer/football....

I think any sport is fun to attend, but I am not a big fan of watching any of them on TV except the Yankess baseball!
I grew up attending Cosmos soccer, Jets football, Yankees baseball, Devils hockey...we had season passes/boxes to attend all, so since I was small I have loved attending the games, but just cannot get into it when they are on tv...
