And what you can't see is that just behind the cafe on the ground floor are a few sofas were me and Siobhan sit to have our lunch. We've definitely got a good thing going on.

But yeah, it is a nice place so I hope I can get something permenant there.

He works as a sandwich maker - on the bacon line, hence sitting around in the cafe during his lunch hour. I presume he gets free coffee.

The work I'm actually doing is almost too dull to explain. For students who have graduated I'm checking they have the full 120 credits for each of the 3 years. Other great stuff like that.

At the moment though it looks like there might not be enough work for it to last so maybe I'll get a promotion to sandwich maker in the future.

Isn't that the kind of thing a computer can check?

It is completely ridiculous, with the best will in the world I'm not 100% sure I can add things up to 120 accurately for hours on end. I mean, I don't think I've made 1 mistake but I'd be foolish to be surprised if something slipped through.

A computer could do it in 2 ticks and not make mistakes.

Not that I'm complaining about having the job!!

I'm just amazed anyone actually checks...

my GPA ended up being perilously close to the pass/fail threshold, thanks to some rubbish grades in courses I'd long since given up - but I did need Excel to work that out...

You're probably right FF. I think I'd call darts a game rather than a sport. But darts is great because of the calls that bloke says.

Obviously you've got the 180 which goes something like:

But I'm a big fan of something comedy like "27" when they are trying to get as high a score as possible. But my personal favourite is the truly awesome "no score".

Not sure if Kate will be posting (pictures or comments) but she may do from time to time. Or she may lose interest completely.
