in answer to this question. i believe their is some sense of 'arrival' with the self in a paradox like this, subconciously saying, i am confronted on a daily basis by you (fear), and here i am, "in your face!"
not really to the world but to the self. plus, all the best, ripest, 'fruit' is in the canopy, it just takes hard work to get there and stay.
a symbol of hard work.
lastly, a friend i used to work for where their were large lifts involved asked me if i was afraid of heights, i repliedit's not the height noreven the fallingthat bothersme, it's the landing.
