I make things on the web, mobile and in the actual world.

I've done lots of bits and bobs over the years, and right now I'm mostly working on this.

I enjoy speaking about things I like, most recently this. You can email me if you'd like, and I'm on twitter.

This is testing the upload from the mobileglu java application, which searches the onboard and card memory perfectly.

an awesome application written by the folk behind buddyping.com - lets you upload and tag images within the application and upload them to your moblog bypassing mms and email, also allows you to aggregate RSS feeds from anywhere, with moblogUK Flickr and del.icio.us as standard. For example, if you wanted to add any mobloggers feed, all you need to do is add their username into the field and the application goes off and grabs the rss feed.

it is wonderful.

oh weirdly, he's not using that, Justin? How you working it ?

28th Feb 2006, 18:10

darkworm says:

Joe, I didn't use the script mate, I wrote the integration myself. It is a simple "construct a mail in PHP" and send it off to mobloguk.

Joe says:

cool, so it's based on your servers?

28th Feb 2006, 18:13

darkworm says:

yup

28th Feb 2006, 18:14

alfie says:

how come you didnt end up using the script J?

28th Feb 2006, 18:14

darkworm says:

I didn't know it existed, and the interface was either using the HTTP POST or a mail interface from the server. I chose the second as it was easier to just construct an email and then off it goes.

Joe says:

Yeh I figured that POST wouldn't be perfect for a Java app, I made the script as a backend for a FF extension and widget I'm working on....

28th Feb 2006, 18:18

alfie says:

how's it going with that Joe? The last one I tested didnt have the upload functionality entirely done, but I think you've cracked that one since right?

28th Feb 2006, 18:21

Joe says:

The FF extension is on hold because XUL sucks at HTTP POST where files are concerned, and I'll have to recode it to use XMLHTTP, it's in the works...the widget is coming along nicely though.

28th Feb 2006, 19:13

alfie says:

cool - when you say the widget is coming along nicely, you mean a confab widget?

28th Feb 2006, 19:15

Joe says:

I do, with plans for a tiger dashboard port when it's finished.
