Thanks :o)

Crickson> it's a 6 hour coach trip though; not so good. There's also not too much to do (except drink wine). I was staying in the nice little town of Summerland, just down the street from Peachland (imaginative town names huh?).

The bonus at the moment is despite being a desert, there's snow on nearby mountains, so I got to snowboard too!

Geodyne says:

What do you *mean* "not much to do except drink wine"?

I fail to see the problem (and surely you could also do some hiking?)

I love the top shot. It's somewhere I really would like to visit, as well as the ox trail north of Kamloops (some very interesting geology up there too) :)

*clicky* :D

Thanks for the highlight! :o)

I've not made it up to Kamloops yet. What got me about this area is that you'd have a little desert-style town (Merritt reminded me of some old frontier town, complete with swinging-door saloon!), surrounded by snow and mountains! Very weird. I'd recommend it as a place to visit though.

Geodyne> very true. It's not really wine sseason though, so the "vineyard crawl" wasn't open while I was there. Maybe when I go next time. I did drink my fair share of wine though. And hiked a local mountain (see next photo).

Dhamaka> Thanks! How's the Argentina trip going?
