A Devon friend told me it must always be jam on cream :)
Curses! That means I lose. :)
Tests today suggested that jam spreads better on cream than cream does on jam. I would imagine this is even more true in the case of lovely lovely Devon clotted cream, which is pretty much just butter anyway.
personally, it would be cream on cream for me...I can't stand jam.
Cream on jam.
Gorgeous shots. Are these with the D50?
yep for once me and helen agree cream on jam on butter please..
i go for one slice with jam and one slice with cream, sandwiched together and eaten washed down with a nice earl grey, then im not winning or loosing (*that a lie - i am really winnning!!!)
Damn those look so good I'm drooling! Haven't had scones with jam & tea for a life time.
any which way tastes good. and the earl grey should be black
When I visited Devon and ordered cream tea, I was so confused to be asked whether I would like coffee with it. I thought I asked for tea.
*Makes note to make Joe some Bananajam*
And yes mat, everyone knows you have jam on cream :)
PS - this once again highlights why I'm crap at being a gruff scotsman. I once had pimms on the broads too. I Still keep that quiet to the folks back home.
take the jam +cream, then add to blender, spread and no more decisions to sweat over while listening to the Duke / Dutchess
Cream on top of the jam but the jam MUST be blackcurrant and the cream clotted.
