Millennium Square Lights

Today Sheffield finally opened the Millennium Square plaza that links the Winter Gardens with the Peace Gardens. Mum, sister, cousin and aunt came up to see me so we saw some of the grand opening action - stilt people, human gargoyles and bands and stuff..... it was really really good!

In the second picture you can see some of the lights embedded in the paving, which is a nice feature.

It is really nice around there and yes, you'll have to come over to see it one weekend.

The great thing is that now this square is open you can get from the centre of town to where I work by walking through the Winter Gardens. Which is great.

I've tried to e-mail some other pictures but moblog doesn't seem to be working just now - will get them on here later.
