Helen says:

Are you sure she's a dog?

29th Mar 2006, 07:28

paintist says:

well in photo she does look like a wired up ewok or something, but yes really a dog :-)

Helen says:

Has she some Cairn in her?

29th Mar 2006, 17:00

paintist says:

She is an affenpincher , which apparently means 'monkey faced dog'..... she is about the size of a yorkie (dog not chocolate bar )

g says:

*pops to the shop for a yorkie*

Helen says:

Oh they're quite quirky.

Helen says:

And, why the name Dido? I'm thinking she's pre Dido the singer.

29th Mar 2006, 18:26

paintist says:

yes pre singer. She was 'secondhand' and called Ida which was unfortunate as the was the name of my ex mother inlaw so I had to change it.....give a dog a bad name and all that :-)

29th Mar 2006, 18:33

Helen says:

Hehe, my gran's Ida. It's not a particularly doggy name.

29th Mar 2006, 18:34

paintist says:

no, the eye is stitched for three more weeks, but she is pulling at it so i guess its the vets again tomorrow

paws_mcgraw says:

Aw, hello other Dido. Our old cat was called Cleo but then she died and my mum wanted to continue the 'tragic queens' thing with our new cat (our neighbour suggested 'Julian Clary', har hardy har).

Plus newbie was called Nancy... mum's mother-in-law... so Dido it was.

paintist says:

Tragic queens indeed....poor animals we keep changing their names!
