The Northern Curly Tailed Lizard, recently spotted in the planter boxes outside Charles Schwab building on the corner of SE Mizner in Boca Raton, FL.

We've spotted these lizards at least twice on our journeys down to Boca Raton, this time, I hopped out of the moving car to capture their beauty; much to the enjoyment of Bighead I leapt from the moving car. "Quick quick Lizzie, spring! Spring!" Meaning, spring from the car and take the photos.

When I stepped onto the grass, lizards began running every direction, they'd been hanging out in the yard I suspect. There was one very very large lizard, at least a foot long I'd guess, who was hiding out in the brush. I didn't manage to get any photos of him, maybe next time.

There are somewhat unique lizards to Florida, brought here mostly to protect the sugar cane fields from the Bahamas.

I heart lizards.
