I am married to Spiderbaby and live in Banbury, Oxfordshire after eight years living in the USA and Sweden. I am working and training as a clinical scientist for the NHS in Oxford.
There are now over ten years of photographs on my blog! It all started with a photograph I took on the 1st of May 2004... It's been a wonderful journey, thank you all who have shared it with me, and made this blogging community one I keep coming back to!
Interesting things I read recently:
"Only one in five people born [in the UK] since 1975 believes in God".
Source: Prof David Voas, University of Essex
"For every dollar invested in the Human Genome project, $141 was returned to the US economy". Francis Collins, NIH
Source: New Scientist 27 July 2013.
I am Pavlovs_dog on PSN and would be happy to link up with Playstation-owning mobloggers : )
Too Much Information: The first album I ever bought was the Fraggle Rock soundtrack. Pretty cool, eh? I was only 16 : )
What are you making or breaking?
Liking the bendy effect in the top shot!
We were - still are actually, making more shelves for Ann's stuff now she's properly moved in. We now have more Terry Pratchett books than are strictly healthy.
Ann's moved in properly now, as in got rid of her place? How did that one pass me by?
That's why we're having the party in may on the 19th to 21st. I'm sure I told people. Ah well, for the record all are welcome. We'll head out to Mojo's again since that was so popular last time!
Count me in for the party and MoJo's cocktail goodness. Although I may just have a guiness if they have one!
I still have the shelves i offered you ages ago - ex ikea in beech and silver? But dusty but that comes off
Easter holidays and a party getting a bit exited now!
Sorry Poppet, had completely forgotten about your shelves :( Still I had fun hammering things. ANd have lots of cake tins and ingredients to play with now so party will no doubt have a strong cake element.
My lovely kitchen used to contain one pan, one bowl, one plate, one knife, one fork, one spoon - and an old Nutella jar I used as a drinking vessel. Now it's full of bloody stuff. Still, the chip tray is useful.
We still only have one pan, one knife, one fork and one spoon... What can all the other stuff be???
No, I think we have enough - there'd be no room for it if you did ;)
*steps slowly away from Ann*
Now if the hammer was for repeatedly hitting the pan pipes...
I thought I was bad with just 4 sets of cutlery. You're a student no more Crickson; least you could do is get a drinking vessel. Or at least steal a decent pint glass from a local pub.
I did bring a pint glass. I guess that's one useful thing at least!
Ha! I said this to Ann in the pub on sunday: any decent girlfriend would have a handbag I can steal a nice pint glass in.
OK, we'll go hand bag shopping at the weekend!
you now have an extra glass from todays scrounging mission. A rather disappointing swag bag today, but at least my missives are now typed on a clean keyboard.
Cake you say?
Oh yes. I think it'll take more than an antiseptic wipe to clean up my missives though. This keyboard is really very dirty indeed...
FFox - I didn't see you at the show today - did you get a free keyboard?
*waves*
Yay for Pratchett - there's no such thing as too much
and as for hammers....
free keyboard? i didn't see those! I did get babywipes for keyboards and balls, and cell scrapers/ What did you get?
pfftt... You got babywipes to clean balls?
*wonders if he's stooping too much to FF's level*
Oooooh... freebies at product shows are great! I think I may start collecting floaties...
RAB - I take offence at that! I have to be at a low level I am not as tall as you (or most people come to that) i can't help it.
Cricks- - you were brave, i smelt the free food and ran for the hills!
