What a priceless shot. Just need a couple goldfish in the bowl and it'd be perfect.

bronxelf says:

I have a better question:

What are you angle grinding in your kitchen?

16th Apr 2006, 01:47

Rich says:

The skirting board. Which is made of concrete, obviously. Otherwise the new cooker's going to be a hell of a lot more sticky-outty. Elvis has been brought up on a diet of VERY LOUD JUNGLE and other assorted discordant/'avin it musics, it's no wonder he likes power tools.

in the end, we got the cooker in. just. by about 1mm. it's probably not coming out.

what kind of fucking idiot makes a skirting board from concrete?

teflon says:

Wikipedia suggests it might also be known as baseboard.

Rich says:

wainscotting!

16th Apr 2006, 08:26

bronxelf says:

Nope. Wainscoting is different. :)

16th Apr 2006, 08:35

bronxelf says:

Tef-- yeah, a baseboard or baseboard moulding. I commented on it in mat's next photo .:)

teflon says:

I think Rich may be referring to the definition from this reference.

16th Apr 2006, 08:37

bronxelf says:

That's a crap definition. It's really vague. Wainscoting is actually something really specific, which is not baseboard/skirting. A wainscot is applied to the lower portion of a room, entirely. Like this or this
(and wow, that's horrific...)

Skirting board or baseboard( American) did my back in this week. It cost me a fortune for an Osteopath and a kneeler chair
