The Damndest Thing

Pictures makes me feel as if the nature of my alcoholism and insanity have occasionally been captured. I don't know if anyone who sees this will approve, or if they'll find it even worse than dead baby pictures.
Fascinating? Horrifying? Boring as fuck? Not that fucking is boring.
Hey... you came here. If it's just a fucking table, it's just a fucking table. If it's my mental ejaculate and it pisses you off, piss off.

Why the HELL would you want to know more?

Or, more accurately, wet.

If I had quicktime I'd upload the short film of a little paper boat I made
to brave the street-side rapids... after fifteen feet it sank. Poo.

Check out the double-decker tour bus... now those are some HARDCORE tourists
that stuck around on top! Isn't the guide the bomb for staying up with

Dah BOMB, y0!

Absolutely superb pictures Melinda, you've really captured the feel..I wanna be there, on top of that bus!

6th Jul 2004, 09:35

Melinda says:

I wanted on that bus too.
It was one of those storms where there was no rain... then you heard it coming, like a thousand little squirrel-feet stampeding down the streets. There was actually a visible WALL of water that just came at us. Then, just as suddenly as it started, it was done and all that was left to show for it was swollen street-side rivers disappearing into sewergrates.

It was a warm rain too. Perfect for dancing.

Well Toronto certainly looks beautiful, I've only ever experienced Vancouver island for 2 weeks, and Vancouver briefly....I'd like to emigrate to Canada, it's in our long term plan as a possibility.....

thought you might have called it 'moist'

it being all warm n all.

i like the way the guys on top appear fixated with the neon 'numb' sign... as if relating to it

Queen West on a damp day...where you the only one not in a bar?

26th Jul 2004, 03:54

Melinda says:

Actually, about thirty seconds after I took the last shot, I WAS in a bar! We ran into the local firkin and got pinted up for a while.

26th Jul 2004, 14:43

nomad says:

you have firkin pubs in canada? is it the same chain as over here...? hmm... cos we got em n they're usually named after what the building used to be... like... the footage and firkin... which used to be a cinema...

26th Jul 2004, 14:50

Melinda says:

There are firkins all OVER Ontario.. I don't know that I've ever heard of them elsewhere though. They just opened a new one right up the street from me... since I live in Gay Central, we were all pitching for it to be called the Queen and the Firkin... but since it's on Church Street, it got Churchmouse instead.

26th Jul 2004, 15:32

nomad says:

yeah we got em over our end.

but come on melinda... 'queen n firkin'? hasn't quite got a ring to it... but then neither does 'churchmouse'... now if i'd been in charge it'd of been called (and absoloutly no offence to be taken by anyone here..) 'the faggot and firkin'

26th Jul 2004, 15:38

Melinda says:

Believe it or not, the faggy firkin IS what we're calling it.

26th Jul 2004, 15:46

nomad says:

jolly good. glad you all havn't had a total imagination bypass ;)

i've got a local pub i drive past on the way home every day that i MUST snap and post soon. it'll make ya giggle for sure, and would be more suited to a gay village that a rural farmers village.... ill be sure to e-mail it soon as i get it.
