my playlist is coming along nicely :)

bronxelf, on boingo says:

you have to get the stuff I have for you, but I have to add some of this 3rd bass/Serch stuff. totally not to be missed. I'll put in the folder when I get home. now if I knew where my *other* 3rd bass cd's were...

"pop goes the weasel". that track was the shit. i only ever got the cactus album though - after that i tuned out of 3rd bass. they were wicked though.

21st Apr 2006, 13:56

bronxelf says:

I have everything they recorded here-- somewhere. I uncovered the Cactus Album and Serch's Return of the Product the other day. I will be pleased to uncover the rest of it.

(But isn't Pop Goes the Weasel on Derilects of Dialect?)

I went to high school with Serch. He's a year older than me. When I uncovered the cd's I tracked him down and sent him an email saying hi. :)

21st Apr 2006, 14:01

nige 2.0 says:

really? thats cool - another elf claim to fame, huh?

yeah, Pop Goes The Weasel was on DofD, but i just had the single - i didnt get into the album.

21st Apr 2006, 14:11

bronxelf says:

I went to high school with a truly inordinate number of people who wound up becoming famous.

I know for sure I have DoD here, I'll let you know when I uncover it. I listened to Return of the Product all the way home last night.

21st Apr 2006, 14:12

nige 2.0 says:

haha. wicked. cant say i went to school with anyone who turned out famous. infamous, perhaps; rich, perhaps; but not famous ;)

21st Apr 2006, 14:22

bronxelf says:

Well on my end it's for sure both, but famous seems to be in the lead. It's really a bizarre number of people, too.

21st Apr 2006, 14:23

nige 2.0 says:

*blows a kiss*

you gonna kiss and tell, elf?

21st Apr 2006, 14:25

bronxelf says:

Nothing to kiss about--The only person I ever slept with who wound up being famous was Tristan Elwell (he's a book illustrator - google him for details.), and that's hardly a secret. (His birthday was just the other day too... Yo Tristan! Happy Birthday!) But the list is fairly long. Offhand?

Jennifer Aniston (I actually don't remember her. Everyone insists I knew her and I swear I have zero recollection of this girl.)
Chastity Bono
Chris Orbach (otherwise known as The Rockstar)
Seth Gilliam (actor- just do an IMDB search)
John Maraffi (likewise.)
MC Serch (as previously mentioned)
Gina Torres (yes, THAT Gina Torres and I knew her fairly well, too. She was one of the first people I ever met in high school and we had classes together for four years.)
Amy Ryan (actress- she changed her name when she got out of high school. Her actual last name suffers from a lack of vowels.)

I'm sure there's more. That's all I can think of immediately on one cup of coffee.

21st Apr 2006, 14:32

nige 2.0 says:

haha - pretty impressive, elf. amy ryan's got a cute thing happening...

21st Apr 2006, 14:44

bronxelf says:

One of my favourite stories involves Seth. He had a recurring role on OZ. I *loved* OZ, even before he'd joined the cast and I used to religiously watch the show. Well I'm merrily watching one night, and Seth is on screen doing his thing... He's a *really* good actor, but to me, you know, he's always Seth. So all of a sudden, he's buck naked on camera. Like *way* buck naked on camera.

Not 30 seconds later my phone rang. It was another friend who said "Did you just see what I saw on HBO?" And I replied "Yeah. So now what do I say to Seth? I mean... "Hi, I saw your penis last week on national television" might not be the best phrasing. Does Hallmark make a card for this?"

We're all still friends though. I know I have photos of Seth here in my moblog. (he is dressed in the photos. Just sayin.)

21st Apr 2006, 14:49

nige 2.0 says:

haha. thats funny. your tone is so i saw seth's cock on national tv, but hey, we're still friends nonetheless....

*toddles off to check out the rest of elfs moblog*

21st Apr 2006, 14:54

bronxelf says:

Kinda. It's a *really* strange feeling. I mean, it's just not something I ever expected or was looking to see, you know? I mean I adore the boy, but it's not like that. You don't expect to randomly flip on HBO and see your friend's cock.

21st Apr 2006, 14:55

nige 2.0 says:

hahahahahahahaha

21st Apr 2006, 14:57

bronxelf says:

Of course when I told this story to Seth he busted out with "Hey! It was COLD in there, okay?" I about died laughing.

21st Apr 2006, 14:59

nige 2.0 says:

i've just seen some of your older pics of him - the blurry one with three of you in is cool...well...if not for the blur anyway.

oh, and i just found one of you in a goofy (EDIT: goofy, as in the disney character!) cap trying to get AutoCAD started again after it crashed. sooooooo cute! ahhhhh.

haha.

21st Apr 2006, 15:08

bronxelf says:

Yeah CAD didn't like one of my sillyhats.

I was so pissed that I I had that smudge on my lens! I haven't seen any of those guys in a few months but hopefully I can do so after June.

21st Apr 2006, 15:22

nige 2.0 says:

enough time to clean the lens, anyway.

21st Apr 2006, 15:24

bronxelf says:

Oh yeah. Unforutnately I haven't been able to go out and take photos of really much of anything for several months.

I am Teh Lame, and have no life.

21st Apr 2006, 15:29

bronxelf says:

This whole Lack of Life business has been *really* bothering me as the pressure mounts on this project. I melted down over it this morning and I'm already feeling like I just want to go back to bed.

21st Apr 2006, 15:30

nige 2.0 says:

*its vitamin time*

21st Apr 2006, 15:31

bronxelf says:

I have a bottle of vitamins on my desk. The problem I've been having with them is that they *really* seem to make me nauseous. In a choice between tired and nauseous, tired wins. I can always take another drug for the tired.

21st Apr 2006, 15:34

nige 2.0 says:

what if you take them with food, or later in the morning?

21st Apr 2006, 15:45

bronxelf says:

Taking them with food helps. However whenever I get this stressed my appetite goes totally flat. (Hence, what Dhamaka said earlier about remembering to eat.) The scale gets happy, but I get the fuzzy end of the lollipop nutritionally. I'll remember to take one when I eat, though.

So far this morning (not that I've been awake that long) I haven't yet been hungry. Just had two cups of coffee, and that's it.

21st Apr 2006, 15:48

Euphro says:

I gave up on multivitamins that made me nauseated too :(

21st Apr 2006, 15:53

bronxelf says:

Unfortunately, the ones with iron in them give me huge stomachaches as well. I'm better off just having a spinach salad or something.

21st Apr 2006, 15:54

nige 2.0 says:

what about metatonic? thats supposed to be good and doesnt taste horrible...i think.

21st Apr 2006, 15:57

bronxelf says:

I've never heard of it. I'd be willing to try it , with a bathroom nearby. I have problems swallowing _any_ kind of liquid medicine. I even pay extra to get things in liqui-caps.

21st Apr 2006, 15:59

nige 2.0 says:

not sure if they sell it in the US, but i'll find out for you. its formulated for the *fairer sex* and i know a couple of gals who swear by it.

21st Apr 2006, 16:02

bronxelf says:

Anything generally formulated for women has a big ass iron content. Which makes all kinds of sense. I just have learned the hard way that my body rejects this notion entirely. My body doesn't really understand this whole "girl" thing very well. It seems wildly inefficient.

21st Apr 2006, 16:04

nige 2.0 says:

time for the *mansize* vitamins for you then...

21st Apr 2006, 16:17

bronxelf says:

I think we need gender neutral vitamins. :)

21st Apr 2006, 16:18

nige 2.0 says:

agreed, but it's all the same pap really, i'll bet. it just has a different label on it...

21st Apr 2006, 16:19

bronxelf says:

The only difference seems to be increased iron and folic acid in womens' vitamins. My stomach can't handle the iron, and other than the standard intake of folic acid I don't have a reason for any additional.

21st Apr 2006, 16:26

nige 2.0 says:

perhaps you're destined to buy all of the separate components minus the iron & folic acid. not the easiest on the pocket, environment, or your stomach either, i'll bet. plus, all those bottles. everywhere...

21st Apr 2006, 16:29

bronxelf says:

Now we're back to skipping the whole thing entirely, which is where I was at to begin with. :)

21st Apr 2006, 16:32

nige 2.0 says:

*sighs*

:)

21st Apr 2006, 16:41

bronxelf says:

It's the cyclical nature of things. :D

21st Apr 2006, 16:41

nige 2.0 says:

*still trying to find a solution*

*sighs*

21st Apr 2006, 16:48

bronxelf says:

The solution is to finish this project and then go on vacation to the UK.

Simple.

21st Apr 2006, 16:49

nige 2.0 says:

my god woman, you've just worked it out! you should put THAT idea in a bottle and sell it. then you can be famous like your high school peers too...haha.

21st Apr 2006, 16:51

bronxelf says:

Yes, I turned out to be the ordinary one. :)

But then I'd have to design the packaging for the bottle, wouldn't I?

I think I will just stick to the notion of getting on a plane.

21st Apr 2006, 16:53

nige 2.0 says:

true, true. better get your ass over to the uk then. as you say, thats the tonic ;)

21st Apr 2006, 16:56

bronxelf says:

Working on it... Time is ticking....

21st Apr 2006, 16:58

nige 2.0 says:

well i'm betting you'll get it done on time...even if i keep disturbing you with this inane message string :D

21st Apr 2006, 17:05

bronxelf says:

You're not disturbing me. It's fine. Sometimes you have to look up from what you're doing anyway.

21st Apr 2006, 17:19

nige 2.0 says:

phew.

21st Apr 2006, 17:19

bronxelf says:

Really, don't worry about it. I am working on some film stuff for my project amyway.

And tshirts.

21st Apr 2006, 17:20

nige 2.0 says:

oh, cool. whassat then?

21st Apr 2006, 17:23

bronxelf says:

I am getting together info and photos for a 3 minute film to introduce my project.

I also am designing tshirts.

21st Apr 2006, 17:24

nige 2.0 says:

super. whats on the tees? you should blog it...

21st Apr 2006, 17:27

bronxelf says:

Well the front has the logo on it, and the back will probably say "We got your kink right here." unless someone comes up with something better.

21st Apr 2006, 17:28

nige mobile says:

sounds tight. pics when you're done!

21st Apr 2006, 17:50

bronxelf says:

Totally. Should be just a little while.

Uber_Spy says:

BElf - re your vitamin dilemma - I have the same problem with multi-vitamins - can never find one that doesn't make me wanna barf - even if I've eaten. I LIVE ON Barley Grass supplements. It is a miracle substance!! It's the only supplement I take, it gives me energy and I'm never sick. Its's packed with vits, antioxidants, essential proteins - you need it girly!! It's one of the most alkalizing substances known to man - which you will need - all that coffee, stress & lack of sleep is gonna send your acidity/toxicity levels sky high. It wont make you ill if you haven't eaten. I know I'm sounding like an infomerical here - but it really is amazing. The AIM Barley Green tablets are the ones I take - heres the address for more info - http://www.aimforherbs.com/barleygreen.html or you can go to your health shop and just ask for a Barley Grass supplement. Honestly...I don't go on about things like this often...check it out...:)

21st Apr 2006, 20:15

bronxelf says:

Next time I am near a vitamin shop I will go in and ask. What the hell, it couldn't hurt. :) thanks!

21st Apr 2006, 20:21

silar31 says:

Elf, on the vitamins - you might try to find a vitamin formulated for women post-menopause, or even a general vitamin for people over 50. They usually do not have iron in them. Not sure where to go with the folic acid issue - you do need it, especially with your high stress level, and most if not all vitamins have the RDA (.4 mg). I'll keep googling on it though - my google-fu is strong, let me see what I can come up with.

22nd Apr 2006, 01:19

Dhamaka says:

silar - it's much more difficult than that. I've been looking for vitamins that wouldn't upset B'elfs delicate sensibilities since she was over last time (was that summer?) and I've not found anything that I would be confident wouldn't upset her - except for a concoction a pharmacist friend made for me (well her actually) and I couldn't send that because just the smell made me want to gag...

22nd Apr 2006, 12:50

yourhermione says:

I will send you messages from dinner, B'elf. Have been thinking about you lots. And I want to buy a tshirt.

22nd Apr 2006, 13:11

bronxelf says:

I know I've not been on IM. Just too stressed to be human, and I am not inflicting it on anyone if I can avoid it.

Larceny offered to drive me up there today but I couldnt spare the time. Im so sorry. :(
