Old school saved to become a Youth Centre (We say no to asset stripping)
After seven years of campaigning we have managed to
retain 60% of the site and save the old Victorian
building. Shout out to Trevor Fowler and Christina
Maritos for always believing and to all da locals who
backed us all da way.

my old school looked like that, victorian not deralict, then the school changed buildings and they demolished every building apart from the smallest of them it was shoking just to put council flats and bugalows on the old site. it was a lovely building

I love modern buildings, but it doesn't mean we should just scrap all the (usually nicest) Victorian/old buildings because they are beautiful...sooner or later even churches will have lifts and automatic doors :-P xXx
