woah. that kinda looks like a funky bus stop...
i can teach you, but i have to charge
nice shed mat, and title
Ooh, purty!
that's a lovely shed. no milkshakes tho.
duuuude
sweet shed
Pretty colours.
Did you build it yourself? Blimey. You should get a job as a handy man. That would be funny. I must nip to Narch this summer.
bet its got beer in it....men and sheds eh......
Mostly me and Mart, although everyone pitched in. The best bit is, the only thing we bought was a few woodscrews and some paint - the rest was salvaged from Lisa's old "conservatory" and stuff we had lying around.
It took a week of a few hours a day to build, and today to paint. It's half greenhouse (the right half in the photo above) and half "chill" out room/conservatory. S'nice. We have tomatos and cucumbers and peppers at the moment, but more is planned.
No beer. There's some ginger and basil iced tea getting warm in there. :)
There are tools and string and a stupidly too-powerful floodlight though. And a pink lino floor (I can't remember why we had pink lino around, but we did)
its going to get nice and toasty in there....lovely for your veg :-)
Dude sweet.
I look forward to hanging out there this summer. How's the wifi coverage?
looks fun.
P.S. Lovely colours, nice choice.
The reason we had pink lino about is because of that godawful play I was involved with; remember all the act-ors coming over and sticking pictures of Princess Die over it? No? It totally happened. And then they left all the lino there and forgot about it and we finally found a use for it other than occasional seating at parties.
Wifi coverage rocks, too. Of course.
The long axis runs almost exactly east-west, it gets direct sun from 5am until about 5pm, not to mention all the stored heat coming off the brick building it backs onto. It hit 40°C today. it was 34°C by 10am. Glad we built in ventilation - that 200mm gap, low on the end wall, that looks like a mistake is actually a big vent covered in chicken wire. :)
Wifi should be fine, the new hub is supposedly hugely powerful but untested so far. There is power, naturally. speakers/amp are sure to follow shortly.
New location for the Thickfest DJs, too.
Did you guys get planning permission for this? :D
Did we f...
Very smart. Why not green and yellow?
nice colours
It's funny cause it's using IKEA colours, yet it's obvious by its shoddyness that it's not. :D
Looks better than any Ikea I have ever seen
Very cool
wow! really nice. makes me sad i don't have a real yard.
It's like that bit out of witness, but a bit camper ;)
I have an amp, tuner and record player I have no further use of if you guys want it for the shed.... and a pair of small speakers too... which I have a feeling belong to Martwine anyhow...
Oooh, bargain!
Done!
I do hope you, your goodladywife and soon-come little nipper will be gracing us with your presence at some time over the summer months. I reckon the greenhouse is a killer app in making sitting in the garden even more totally radical than it usually is.
yes. beaten to it..funny looking ikea.
ah -the- greenhouse. almost beach hut esque.
